For 15 years David has continually attracted clients who understand that photography is essentially a free flowing, unobtrusive story-telling collection of images that celebrates our life and times. Photography that is unique to you, that brings together the energy of personalities, glamour and a quirky photojournalistic approach that has won many accolades.

Congratulations on finding me and really hope you enjoy looking through my site.

When you come to visit, please knock ( better still, get in touch first and we can schedule an appointment ) you’ll find me in a high ceilinged, Oregon beamed studio in Fitzroy, just off iconic Brunswick street that we’ve called base camp for many years. It’s the perfect place to take a load off, chat and immerse yourself in all the cool photographic possibilities and options for your wedding day.

Capturing great images of everyone at weddings and events is what I’ve done for years… It”s what I love & what I’m best known for. It’s all about being intuitive, passionate & dedicated to not only the craft, but to reading people and delivering a product that is one of the very best in Melbourne and Australia. I have a small band of people behind the scenes, but it’s me you’ll be booking, so it’s a first in, first served set up.

After 8 years in advertising as an Art Director & designer, and studying more photography and film at PSC part time as well, I was ready for a break and left to travel and photograph the world. I proposed to my girlfriend on a gondola in Venice 18 months later while still traveling and returned to Melbourne to marry 6 months after that. Since then I’ve dedicated my life to photographing weddings, events and people in general and have won many National and State awards, that led to becoming a Master of Photography with the AIPP ( Australian Institute of Professional Photography ) I also won the AIPP Photograph of The Twentieth Century ( a one off award open to anyone in Australia ) for an image taken in Roman baths in Budapest, Hungary. I love the symmetry of this, in that I have become a wedding photographer, but this shot is all about the time leading up to now.

After 8 years in advertising as an Art Director & designer, and studying more photography and film at PSC part time as well, I was ready for a break and left to travel the globe.

After exploring much of the world  over 2 years, ( shooting freelance for magazines along the way ) I proposed to my girlfriend Melissa on a gondola in Venice. Yep, bonus points there, but I lost points for not having a ring… it was spontaneous after all, but this is when photography and weddings came together for me. We were married after returning to Melbourne and are still happily married with 3 beautiful girls, Vizsla & Spanial dogs and a Burman cat.

Above is a small story board of bits & pieces and stuff I like… especially the coffee!
